Update
As a missionary, I often experience
Divine provision, Divine guidance & Divine protection because many
people like you pray for me.
Here’s how God answered your
prayers for safety in travels:
I arrived safely in Mexico City on March
3. When my friend Norma, another single missionary, heard I was passing
through Mexico City en route to Cuernavaca, she invited me to stay with her
for a few days to catch up with her. She lives in central Mexico City. Norma
met me at the airport. She was coming back from Puebla visiting her grandma so she had one
suitcase. I had 3 pieces of luggage.
Cab drivers in Mexico City are notorious for charging
foreigners exorbitant fees, usually 3-4x more than the locals, thinking
"all foreigners are rich". We took the "authorized"
taxi from the airport. After a few minutes the cab driver wanted to
charge us for each piece of luggage, saying this is company policy, when we had
already paid for the whole fare. My friend Norma started explaining to
the driver, "Look here, I am Mexican. I live here in Mexico City. I know
you cab drivers charge foreigners outrageous fees, but you will not do that to
my friend. We have already paid for the fare. We will not pay any
more."
The cab driver was silent the rest
of the way. He brought us to central Mexico City without any additional
charge. It dawned on me... "This is God’s protection. A
friend picked me up at the airport so this cab driver won’t charge me
3-4x the usual rate." PTL!
Thank you for your prayers. I got back safely to Cuernavaca on March 5.
