Dear Ministry
Partner,
We have four weeks left
this Bible study season and I am ready for
summer. I hope to be in Chicago for dental and
medical checkups and then to Vancouver, WA to
visit existing ministry partners and find new
prayer and financial partners. I would love to
meet with your small group. Please let me know
when a good time would be.
The Lord gave me a
unique opportunity this winter/spring season to
start a circle of missionary women that meet
once a week for fellowship and prayer. I am
amazed at how God brought us all here in
Cuernavaca and am encouraged to hear the stories
of how each woman ended up doing what she is
doing.
My missionary circle
consists of:
- Bev from
Florida. She and her husband are overseeing the
maintenance of a Christian retreat center here
in Cuernavaca.
- Elke from
Germany. She is translating the Bible from
Spanish to Nahuatl – a dialect of one of the
indigenous group here in Mexico.
- Cheryl
from Wisconsin. She oversees the women’s Bible
study groups in her church.
- Susan from
Illinois. She and her husband hope to start a
Christian camp site here.
- Janice from
California. She and her husband have a
counseling ministry for Mexican pastors and
church leaders.
- Bernadet from
Holland. Her husband is an Old Testament
consultant for Wycliffe and she is translating
Christian literature for the deaf.
- Angie from the
Philippines leading a discipleship Bible study
for Mexican women and a prayer group.
How precious these women
are becoming to me! We cry on one other’s
shoulders and share our joys with each other. I
remember the week when one gal’s dad died and I
could not sleep for a whole week. These ladies
listened to me and prayed for me. What a
blessing to have a spiritual family here who
truly understand what it means to be a
missionary in a foreign land!
For years, I prayed for
a friend to come alongside me here in Mexico.
Little did I know that seven years later, the
Lord would use me to start a women’s missionary
circle for ladies like me, who many times feel
lonely and disconnected. We still do not have an
official name for our group, but many times I
call it The Lonely Hearts Club Band.
Maybe, you can help me find a good name for my
group.
Thank you for your
faithful partnership.
Sincerely,
Angie
